Exceptional game for Les Léopards, who make their first appearance on the World Cup stage since 1974. The entire nation and diaspora was on its toes, with Congo holding its own 1-0 thanks to a goal from CIPENGA. We held our own until the 74th minute. NOBODY believed we’d make it this far. People joked and laughed, believed it was a pipe dream, unaware that the DR Congo is a football NATION. We got our chance on the world stage and ran with it as far as we could. THANK YOU CIPENGA.
