Almada went with a different approach today and decided to rest our entire starting 11 apart from Ramon Juarez. Even though this was our bench, we still looked good in that first half and even managed to score a nice goal, by Icaro, from outside the box into the bottom right corner. Things did slow down in that second half but we defended well enough to maintain our lead and managed to kill the game off with a goal from Brian Rodriguez. Rumors are saying he might not leave to Ajax. 👀 Ramon Juarez gets my potm but I also want to highlight Cardenas who had a very solid game today. Many people were criticizing our wins because they were against “weaker teams” which is fair but yet a lot of the other big teams have also struggled against some of these “weaker teams” so theres that. Our next matches are against Monterrey, Tijuana, Cruz Azul and Chivas all of which will be difficult matches but also a good test to see how good this squad is.
