We have to go all the way back to February 2012 for the last time Millwall faced West Ham, that being a 2-1 win for the Hammers. Now, after fourteen years, the Dockers Derby returns. Millwall have had a very inconsistent start to the season, which could very easily be down to the major injury crisis going on at the club right now, with at least eleven players out through injury. Millwall manager Alex Neil even confirmed that the club are investigating the matter. The Lions have recorded three wins, one draw and three defeats in the league so far, with their most recent outing being a 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough, where they led 2-0 at half-time before second-half goals from Amario Cozier-Duberry and Will Lankshear saw Middlesbrough fight back to earn a point. The Lions' last win came earlier this month when they put four past newly promoted Bolton Wanderers, with three of the four goals coming in the final 10 minutes. West Ham come into this game full of confidence following four straight league victories and a 6-0 demolition of Wrexham last Friday, which puts them top of the table going into this game as the Irons seek an immediate return to the Premier League. They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup midweek despite coming from behind twice, with Oscar Bobb's goal in the final fifteen minutes securing a 3-2 win for Fulham. Millwall will be desperate for three points over their bitter rivals, as the last time that happened was 2004, with Danny Dichio's goal being the only one in a 1-0 win at The Den. As I briefly mentioned earlier, West Ham were victorious in the most recent matchup between these two sides, Carlton Cole & Winston Reid with the goals as Sam Allardyce's side won 2-1, despite Kevin Nolan getting sent off within the first 10 minutes. Rather unsurprisingly, Jarrod Bowen has started this season in fine form, with seven goal contributions so far this season. Rather surprisingly, Lyndon Dykes has also started the season in good form, with four goals in his last four games for Millwall. Already one goal away from matching his league tally from last season. Finally, Millwall are expected to be without Alfie Doughty, Lukas Jensen, Josh Coburn, Casper De Norre, Tristan Crama, Ryan Leonard, Mihailo Ivanovic and Mathis Servais. West Ham will most likely be without Joel Veltman after he was taken off in the win over Wrexham. In more positive news, Tomas Soucek is back training following the ankle ligament injury he suffered during the World Cup.
