Wasn't the greatest games but Southampton did what was needed. Think they'll have a good year under Eckert. Ex Spurs Timothee Lo Tutala did well in goal for Colchester.

Southampton despite winning didn’t really impress until late on. Colchester surprisingly controlled the game in the first half and it wasn’t until Eckart made some vital subs that the pendulum swung back in their favour. I feel like they will have to do much better in the season ahead.
