West Ham finished last season 10th in the WSL, 10 points above relegated Leicester City, who ended the season with just 9 points from 22 games, whereas LCL finished in 6th, 9 points below 5th place Spurs, and a further 4 points below the top 4. Just 1 game week into the current WSL season the visitors currently sit 4th with the home team in 13th      London City won their opening game against ‘Big 4’ team Manchester United, 2-1. The goalscoring started in the 9th minute when United midfielder Julia Olme headed into her own net after an LCL corner. LCLs second came in the 80th minute when Cascarino plays a lovely ball towards the goal, finished off by Daniëlle Van De Donk. United managed to get a consolation goal in the 90+10th minute through Simi Awujo after a free kick was played to the far post.     The opening day wasn't as successful for the home team who played their first game in North London and lost 3-1 to Spurs. Spurs’ first came from a Signe Gaupset shot to the far post before bouncing across the goal line to the near post and eventually into the goal. Things only got worse for the Hammers when Gaupset slotted a ball through the defence that was found by Kirsty Hanson who calmly chipped goalkeeper Picaud. Hanson then got her second of the game with a superb shot from outside the box, fired into the top left corner to end a nice team goal. An error in the midfield allowed West Ham to pick out Viviane Asseyi who calmly passed the ball into the goal.    These teams have played each other a total of 5 times with West Ham winning 2 with London City winning just 1, and 2 ending in draws. Their most recent fixture was in game week 19 of last season's WSL and ended in a 1-1 draw with the teams splitting the points. Both teams will be looking to one-up the other in this all-London clash.
