Old Trafford becomes host to Sabah FA this Thursday when Carrick's men welcome the Champions of Azerbaijan. Its been an even trio of fixtures for Manchester United, picking up a loss, win and draw in their opening three Premier League fixtures. A 2-0 loss tied them to bottom of the table after Hull shocked the league, they took out Ipswich in flying fashion, a 5-2 victory, and late drama had Everton peg them to 2-2, leaving them 11th in the Premier League. Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick against Ipswich has him top of the Red Devils' scoring chart. Michael Carrick announced the following key squad updates for injuries in his Press Conference: The club are confident Marcus Rashford will be fit for the clash. Carlos Baleba has a minor ankle injury, delaying his debut. De Ligt is getting closer to a return however will miss the game. Amad Diallo will also miss the fixture. Sabah FK earned qualification in a Play-Off comeback against Hapoel Beer-Sheva, they lost 2-1 in the away leg however a thumping 5-2 win in their backyard had them qualify after their first ever Azerbaijan Premier League title last year. Their first three title-defending fixtures have all ended in victory, 2-0, 0-1 and 5-0 has them top of the league with an outstanding triple clean sheet record and a +8 goal differential. Including UCL Qualifiers, Joy-Lance Mickels has 4 for the season, more than any Sabah player. It's all positive news from Dambrauskas as Sabah have a fully healthy squad (or close to it) ahead of their Manchester trip. This is of course Sabah's first ever season in the Champions League after being founded in 2017 and Manchester United are returning to the competition after a 3 year hiatus.
