Germany had just beaten England 4-1 and Argentina 4-0 and Spain had beaten everyone 1-0 Rematch of Euro 2008 and Same score Germany without Müller the pace that had destroyed England and Argentina simply wasn’t there Spain passed them into submission for 72 minutes Pedro had a rocket saved brilliantly by Neuer Iniesta slid one across that Villa just couldn’t reach Xabi Alonso fired wide twice when he absolutely should’ve scored then a Xavi corner in the 73rd minute and from absolutely nowhere Puyol hair absolutely flying everywhere launched himself like a heat-seeking missile and headed it in Spain’s first World Cup final in a while Puyol met the Queen afterwards wearing only a towel because she went into the locker room to congratulate them😭 Narrative: 4 Tactics: 4.5 Chances: 3 Goals: 3.5 Drama: 3.5 4/5
