the day lionel messi kissed the world cup was genuinely one of the most fulfilled i’ve ever felt in my life. people who don’t understand football will probably never get it but ever since i watched him lose that final against germany when i was 10, every birthday candle, every wish, every little hope i had was for him to one day hold that trophy and when he finally did i genuinely cannot explain the joy i felt. i don’t think i’ll ever feel that shit again until i get married or have a child
