super shit to concede so early, there’s no other way to put it. we were already on the back foot, despite being at home, after losing to them so recently, but to concede such an avoidable goal SO early is just deflating. just started off not good enough all around, we looked like we expected an easy game and we looked shocked every time they did something good in those first 25 minutes. they were just all over us for the whole first half and we had like nothing we seemed to be able to do?? we’re meant to be the highest scoring team and we can’t seem to string a couple passes together in attack. second half of the first half was a bit better in fairness, but still not good enough. we weren’t a playing to our strengths whatsoever, san diego were dictating the game and we were just letting them throughout that first half. yeah second half has just started the exact same way as the first which is just unacceptable. we concede early goals and we do nothing about them. when we’re good we’re good, but when we’re not we struggle SO so much and it’s just not good enough at all. just tiring man we concede and give up far far too often, even when we had an attempt, we didn’t threaten. it’s just not good enough man not at all. ash sanchez has to be MVP. has the chance to break the single season scoring record and instead she makes a simple pass, finished off by VBR for her first NWSL goal and it’s just the selflessness that shows she firstly, deserves MVP, secondly, deserves to be the record holder, and thirdly is a pivotal player to this team. so many players would go for the shot there ESPECIALLY with the record in the line but she’s just sublime. erica meg. no words needed. damn near perfect every single time. my POTM every single game just upsetting man. just upsetting.
