Did I like what I saw? No. But it's the first win of the season with 5 goals and a lot of players fresh of the WC. It did help us a lot that Elche are a mess and couldn't hold the intensity. What I liked: Karim and Gordo getting good starts, Xavi balling out, Fermín getting his confidence up fresh into the season (thank you, Anthony 😊). Both Andreas and Gerard did very well, 11 and 13 def. contributions respectively. Eric and Joan being hot defensive husbands. Bernal did better than people will give him credit for but still needs mama Pedri next to him. What I disliked: the midfield without Pedri (what's new?), Gavi overdoing it and life kicking him back. Lamine playing when he is still not 100% seemingly. They were intense, yes, but pressing as a whole was shit. Xavi covered up some of Karim's passing issues. Barça will rump up a lot for their next game both in starters and game quality. Good to start the season with a win. The level of La Liga so far is concerning, though.
