Messi is truly a gift of god for football, we have never seen a career where a person is this storied, this immortal after so much years in the game and still having that magic. Argentina’s had a great defensive structure tonight accompanied by their talents only improving from the 2022 World Cup but we have to focus on them for another time because it is all Messi today, probably will be the last time we see Messi ever in the World Cup and if so, I am glad I got to see this man play the beautiful game. It’s honestly funny to see my relationship with Messi, I was first a person who was celebrating his World Cup final losses and I was laughing at him but overtime we truly realized how great he is and never looked back, no one can ever look back and yes there might be a Yamal or whatever who might have better stats than him or a Haaland or Mbappe too but there simply cannot be another Messi and football will be split into Before Messi and After Messi.
