as expected france started off the better team by far. paraguay had a few sporadic attempts but nothing really challenged the french defence. paraguay did good defensively but didn’t really look to go forward too much and they looked scared of a french counter attack at times. the paraguayan players did well at doing little things to get under the french skin and i think you could see that was working. the french players started getting annoyed and you could tell with some of their balls into the box and some of their buildup play forgot to write notes for the second half but paraguay were silly to give away a penalty when they didn’t need to at all. potm mbappe cause he scored the penalty
