The 2021–22 UEFA Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Manchester City is one of the greatest football matches I've ever watched. After losing the first leg 4–3 at the Etihad, Real Madrid looked to be heading out when Manchester City made it 5–3 on aggregate late in the second leg. Then came Carlo Ancelotti's inspired substitution. Rodrygo scored twice in two minutes to send the tie into extra time and completely change the atmosphere inside the Bernabéu. In extra time, Karim Benzema calmly converted the winning penalty to complete one of the most memorable Champions League comebacks in recent history. What makes this match even better is the quality of football. Both teams were league champions, and the game was played at an incredible pace from start to finish. It was end-to-end, full of chances, intensity, and moments of brilliance, with almost no dull periods. As a Madridista, this is one of the most unforgettable nights I've ever experienced.
