leo messi, you were everything i was supposed to hate growing up. you were a rival of my favourite player. you played for my rival club. youre from argentina and i support brazil, even in international football you were a rival. but somehow in the midst of it all, i could never bring myself to hate you. instead,i learnt to appreciate you and your magic. i put others above you, but i never once denied you are one of the bests ever. you have made me cry so much on so many occasions. i celebrated your losses, laughed when you cried but this match pained me more than i could imagine. i basically grew up watching you and to watch this match with the emotions that i felt truly felt like an honor. it was an honor to watch you play and compete against my teams. i am so grateful to have witnessed such greatness. thank you for everything you’ve done for your country and for football. you are undeniably one of the greatest players to have ever graced the game. football was lucky to have you. we were lucky to watch you. gracias, leo.
