Portugal: lacked energy and intent. I think the Nuno Mendes injury was a harsh blow. They didn’t challenge Spain enough and looked too scared to lose. The main story here is with Ronaldo. Man no one wanted his story to end like this, forever a goat. Spain: the reason this game wan’t so good was due to the similarities in the two teams. Spain also looked scared of losing here but quality helped them over the line. One player I dislike a lot is Mikel Merino for absolutely no reason so i’m quite disappointed. MOTM: I’m giving it to Rodri who bossed the midfield today, he controlled a lot of the game and didn’t stop the entire game. I don’t think anyone on the pitch today was overly fantastic but for me, Rodri was the one standout.
