Even with our B team, Trabzonspor plays with a clear system. It’s been a long time since we looked this organized. The difference in quality was obvious from the start. KuPS could barely string passes together because we simply didn’t allow it. Still, our two backup center backs drove me crazy with all those misplaced passes. A deserved win that should’ve been much more convincing. In the second half, KuPS got back into the game through a corner where Onana made a mistake. Suddenly, with the home crowd and momentum behind them, they started believing in a comeback. They even had the chance to make it 3-2, but Onana redeemed himself with a penalty save and showed why he’s a quality goalkeeper. A win we absolutely had to get, but we made it harder than necessary.
