Tolima started out sloppy in the first 15 mins of the game and then proceeded to play a very effective counter attacking football. Tolima has very physical players which manage to disrupt Juniors midfield and defense at times. Hurtado had a stellar game with a goal and assist. Junior's 1st half was good for about 15 minutes before Tolima adjusted themselves and imposed their style of play on the sharks. Junior's defense is very concerning, allowing 2 goals from counter attacks and the defense allowing the Tolima players to get by with ease. The 2nd Tolima goal especially was a big mistake on Junior's part. Tolima starts the counter attack while Junior only focuses on the player with the ball, they forget to mark the Tolima player coming from behind asking for the ball and scores the 2nd goal. Very poor defending from junior. It's only the 1st game of the season but having won back to back titles and displaying a poor performance vs a Tolima who at times had shaky defense is disappointing. Credit to the Mexican keeper of Tolima who blocked 2 chances which could have put junior in front before Tolima got their goals later on.
