The ultimate hatewatch. I do not have the words to describe the joy feeling I felt watching Czechia crumble, but I wish it upon every football fan. How do I describe it? Glorious? Beautiful? Sublime? Triumphant? How about all of the above. 91 days ago, I watched my country be denied the chance to play at a World Cup for the first time in my life time. After the heights of Hungary, I believed. WE believed, that Ireland would go to North America and back our nation. But the strong gloves of Matej Kovar denied that in a penalty shootout to break our hearts. And from that day forth I, alongside many Irish people vowed to never support or "cheer on" the Czech ever again. So that is why this feeling is so bittersweet. A combination of joy and sulk. That feeling that it should've been us, but being oh so glad it wasn't us with the damage dealt to Czechia. This, this match was a love-letter to the pain endured. This was our closure to the wound left unhealed just 91 days ago.
