Nott'm Forest

Last week, I said that I hoped Liverpool’s games weren’t as stressful as the one against Newcastle was. So far, this still hasn’t become true. Forest were hungry to prove themselves and you could feel that in the way they played. Their attack was running rings around us, and in our attempt at playing Gakpo on the right and Munoz on the left did not work at all. Our tactics and subs changed the game, which is a breath of fresh air after watching us dig a deeper hole with them during last season. Munoz moving back to the right was the best tactic choice because he is so much better there with Ngumoha, Gakpo and (eventually) Barcola on the other side. We may have mot signed him to play there, but he could end up being our first choice RW this season. Isak had a very rough first half, but in the second he clearly improved, there’s stll a great player in there and I think Iraola is the right coach to unleash it. Lastly, our midfield really needs some improvement. Usually, midfielders are the ones you want keeping possesion. However, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch and Wirtz seemed to be losing the ball when it mattered most. Mac Allister and Nyoni worked well on the pitch, but I feel another midfielder is necessary to get the best out of team. I’d argue a new DM should be our priority rather than a new RW “Salah replacement”.
