Amazing game. When St James’ is rocking, it’s always gonna be a good game of football. Newcastle set up brilliantly today, with using the pace they’ve got in attack to catch out Liverpool, especially their full backs who are bombing up the pitch. Osula was so good, and he will be one of the breakout players this season. But the main issue for Liverpool is their full backs. Both Frimpong and Kerkez are way too weak and reckless, and teams will be targeting them in the coming games. There was also way too much space between Jacquet and van Dijk. Newcastle were very unfortunate with the pen at the end, with Lewis Hall being brilliant all game up until that point.
