Everyone always goes into matches against newly promoted teams with the mindset that it will be an easy win and this match proved that it is not always the case. Despite the final result looking like an easy win for Varaždin, they struggled for the majority of match and they managed to break Rudeš only from the 70th minute. Very strong fight from Rudeš but at the end their squad lacks depth and confidence.
