Arsenal
ChelseaVery entertaining, as expected. Chelsea had a great start with Morgan Rogers’ volley, and afterwards they sat deep, waiting for counter-attacks. Arsenal had some good chances, and one of those resulted in a goal, with Kai Havertz scoring from outside the box to equalize the game. I think Kai Havertz was great in this game. He is a much better option than Gyökeres against these teams that sit deep, because his technical ability makes him much more effective in those tight spaces. Another player I really liked was Tzolis. Every time he had the ball, you just knew something was going to happen. He has this very simple and effective way of playing, which showed in Arsenal’s second goal. Good dribbling and then a sharp pass into the middle, where Havertz gave a great “assist” for Ødegaard, who finished it perfectly and made it 2-1. Afterwards, there were chances on both sides, and Chelsea’s attacks mainly came from the right side, where Pedro Neto had a good game as well in my opinion. As Neto started to tire, Estêvão was brought on, and he had a great chance to equalize, but a great save from Raya kept Arsenal ahead and secured the well-deserved three points. Chelsea had a very good game tho. They are looking very interesting this season, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Alonso’s style of football develops over the next few months.
