one thing I noticed is Messi being the only one without wearing pink cleats. the athletic did a brief video about the pink cleats, why there are so many of them and why brands across the board are doing them. there was a survey given to players how bright colors promote confidence and pink was a favored color (im paraphrasing but it’s something to that point). it’s a fascinating find for sure and now this world cup is just pink cleats world cup lol. My point is, Messi is Him and he doesn’t need all that stuff. He’s here playing the beautiful game and we are blessed to be alive the same time as he plays. Top goal scorer of men’s world cup!
