My genuine reaction is obviously disappointment, especially after the promising start to the tournament. This game just felt stained from the start w/ the balo controversy and Belgium burying us was probably the only way it should have ended. If anything good comes of this, there were great memes, a solid hatewatch, and hopefully Matt Freese gets fired into orbit and doesn’t ever resurface in a national team uniform ever again.
