Where do I start? What a game, but I've unfortunately had to nick half a star off for the incompetence of football officials, once again... That decision to rule out Croatia's last minute equaliser is ridiculous, embarrassing and downright disgusting. The VAR officials gave ONE angle to the referee where it WAS NOT clear and obvious that the player touched the ball. And he immediately makes his mind up? To add to that stupidity, they showed a replay to us shortly after where the player DID NOT touch the ball at all. I'm telling you now, like I've said many times before, it's not the VAR technology that's a problem, its the incompetent officials in each and every country. It's disgraceful to make your mind up from ONE angle in such an important moment. I'm gobsmacked. What a terrible way to end such an incredible game, that would've been my game of the tournament so far if it wasn't ruined by an embarrassing decision. Condolences to Croatia for that, I wouldn't understand how bad and annoyed you all are feeling now.
