We completely lost the battle in midfield, Schlager and McAtee were causing problems for an extremely sluggish Barkley, poor Boubacar Kamara was basically alone in midfield as Emi Buendía didn't offer anything either. Hemmings has no place in that starting XI, he's just way too raw. I'm not sure if Jackson got injured or Emery was worried about the yellow card, but I thought Abraham offered nothing, again, which cost us a substitution slot for a really unfortunate Ian Maatsen injury. I thought Emery mismanaged a lot coming into the second half. The Maatsen injury looks bad, got crunched into for a yellow tackle, McGinn had to play LB with 10 men because we used all our subs.
