Solid entertainment, a lot on the line especially for Iran. Two really early goals which set the game up, but after that it slowed down a decent bit. Also a missed penalty in those first 14 minutes. Egypt mostly survived the whole game, impressively as well. Im still not convinced by Egypt though but maybe im a hater who knows. They will be playing Australia which is looking like a very entertaining game i cant lie. Iran was so incredibly close to winning it to confirm qualification, unfortunately they didnt and have to wait until tomorrow to know if they are through or not. I think theyll be fine though. Heartbreaking for them for it to be called offside, but oh so beautiful for me who predicted the 1-1, we all know Bookd predictions are more important than the games itself. All Iran really lacks is firepower up front, i dont think theyll be able to do enough in the knockouts despite being very compact defensively. Still impressive considering the situation they are in having to fly into and out of the country on the same day. Man of the match Saeid Ezatolahi because im a midfield merchant and i love when players have a presence on midfield.

heartbreakingly cruel for Iran at the end, but what a dramatic ending. I hope they end up going through, they deserve it for the heart and fight they’ve shown, and for all the off the pitch bullshit they’ve been subjected to. Mehdi Taremi is one hell of a leader imo. But I would have liked to see more pride flags in the stands ngl, Seattle you let me down a bit…
