Sometimes you gotta give the devil their due and Utah who often just sit back after a 1-0 lead did not do that. They poured it on the courage on their home pitch. Something needs to change for the courage because the leaky defense and the constant need for hero ball from Ashley Sanchez is not sustainable. Rabano was playing like an elite fullback with all the assist she had today no brainer for the wotm to go to her.

sadly this was a very good game. score is a lot more lopsided than the game itself was. Courage were very poor the first half and the game looked like it could easily finish 5-0 or worse, second half they massively improved and really did look like they should score more. unlucky to give away a penalty so late on, especially when the game was already more or less done with. overall positives are that erica meg parkinson and lauryn thompson were incredible, definitely ones to watch! i also think that we’re showing we can still be competitive without manaka, again, despite what the scoreline depicts. negatives was schlegel in general - very bad. ash sanchez had some good attempts but couldn’t do anything, with any of them. Ijeh also had one attempt that she really did awful with but, she gave us hope at 2-0 down so i can’t be too mad. subs were made far too late and not when needed. 9 goals conceded in 3 games and 3/4 losses since manaka left also says a lot. orlando pride next won’t be fun but let’s hope they have a bit more for us than they’ve had recently, especially these past 2 games. i would definitely start erica meg more often and lauryn thompson should get on sooner, perhaps even starting ahead of schlegel. POTM for me has to be erica meg, youngest player on the pitch at 18, but for me she was by far the best for courage and i’d argue the best overall too. definitely a bright future ahead of her and i look forward to watching her more for courage! hopefully she’ll start scoring and assisting and never look back

Was rooting for Courage but it got very dark very quick after a 6th minute goal from Utah. Especially with Utah their good defense generally, surprised they went on to actually destroy Courage, 4 goals for Utah is genuinely insane. Courage are gonna need to change a toooon of things to turn this around because its looking very rough for them unfortunately. Woman of the match gotta go to Rabano, the clear and only option to be honest.

Del Fava ages like a fine wine. She is female Thiago Silva. What a great and consistent defender she is. If she ever gets injured Utah is done for.
