first half was bleak man. conceded in like the 12th minute and just never seemed to pick up after that. didn’t look like they wanted to score at all just seemed happy to lose 1-0 or concede more. next thing you know croix bethune with quite a good goal in all fairness but our defence was just sloppy, no fault of sheridan tbf was fully side netting. kcc did good to prevent ijeh and sanchez in the form they’ve been in but erica meg is just so so good! she’s our best player of the first half for sure she wins the ball back, she’s insanely good in possession she’s just a star. you can never replace manaka, but when you need to bring someone in cause she’s left, she was the perfect choice. i don’t even wanna talk about what we were doing for that third goal bro narratives gonna be that sheridan conceded three but our defence were at fault for all 3 and not kailen lol Ijeh is giving us hope in what appeared to be a very very long day! she’s been so so good lately that you do just feel a goal or assist is almost inevitable overall a much MUCH better second half and we actually looked hungry and like we wanted goals and to win this time. Sanchez looks like her usual self again and Ijeh is just immense. still think sanchez deserves mvp and the US call up @emmahayes we seemed to wake up much more in those last 5/10 minutes and for a while it genuinely looked like we would manage to get a point but i think current deserved this win POTM for me is gonna be erica meg, was there better players than her? yes, but she added more to the courage side by how good she was all game, than any of the kc current players added, partially due to them all being good that a mistake wasn’t as costly, other than the penalty. it was clear because she looked a level above the rest of the team in the first half. hard to believe she’s only 18 man, one to look out for for sure, glad she plays for my club and country!!

great game and showing from both teams. kc made their statement early and kept up as best they could while nc made up for it and just kept on knocking. Unfortunately not enough for nc but they did well enough to catch up. hard to choose a POTM…prob lorena bc she made incredible clutch saves in the final minutes agains ashley sanchez’s attempts.

Fun match. Kansas City when they want to has one of the best attacks in the league. But then KC’s defense struck as Lo loves to mention but lucky for them they able to hold off the courage’s surge. Fun match. And yes despite that dumb penalty she gave away Hopkins played great

Fantastic attacking from KC in the first half, but really fell apart in the second. Lorena’s goalkeeping was so key in allowing KC to keep its lead, with 6 saves in the second half. I wanted to see more from NC, but Sanchez kept KC on their toes, Ijeh’s goal was beautiful, and all in all they didn’t play a bad game except their defending in the first half.

horrid first half from the courage but they really did pull it together in the 2nd. can’t really say they deserved to win given their preformance the whole game but they for sure earned those two goals
