My dark horse of the tournament. Played absolutely excellently and owned this match from beginning to the end. Everyone take note for the upcoming blue lock golden generation incoming. 😎

Monterrey W4 - 3América W
My first Liga MX Femenil game, and I really wasn’t expecting one of the most exciting matches I’ve seen in the last couple months. Club America started strong, with particularly good performances from Geyse, Guerrero, and to some extent Camberos. Geyse especially was impressive for her aggression and tenacity, and posed a constant threat throughout the match. But the comeback from Monterrey was beautiful. With a brace from each of their goals scorers, it’s hard to pick between Vargas or Chavarin for player of the match, but I think it has to go to Vargas for scoring the opening and game-winning goals. Things slowed down a lot in the last 20 or so minutes of the game, but it remained entertaining throughout, with the risk of an equalizer from Club America never off the table.
