Id give it half a star for being delayed two hours but im here strictly for football, so 2.5 instead. First half was played 3 hours ago so i might not remember everything correctly, but i felt like Iraq defended really well, honestly a good game in general. Mbappe goal was great but definitely should’ve been saved by the goalie. Second half France got a bit more active, but Fadhil really sold it for Iraq by making another mistake which lead to the 2-0. Mbappe is eventually just inevitable getting him to 16 goals to equal Klose, and two goals behind Messi. Just incredible to see him play, hes so so so good it makes my mouth water honestly. Olise two more assists is nice for him as well, he has been great this tournament. Still very impressed overall by Iraq, theyve been handed a very difficult group so nothing was expected of them but i think they did very well to hold off France, unfortunate for the goalkeeping mistakes. Got my prediction correctly on 3-0 so im happy with that, i expected some goals but not too many because its still Deschamps who has been conservative for 14 years now with France.
