only watched from about 50 minutes but i like how napoli stopped playing it safe and realised they need an equaliser. unfortunately they didn’t get it despite de bruynes best efforts which also begs the question on why you’d wait till nearly 60 minutes have passed to sub him on. i suppose baturina motm but i didn’t catch the g/a, so on a personal level i’d say kdb.

Horrific squad selection from Allegri. Immediate change in pace when KDB and Santos came on. But classic story from us not having enough time left after playing lazy for 75 minutes. Also no Vergara is embarrassing.

Not the most entertaining match, but it wasn’t bad either, especially the first half. What I noticed at the beginning of the match was how well Como pressed and it was kind of hard for Napoli to get out of that pressure. In the first 15 minutes Napoli had a good chance tho, with Olivera crossing the ball into the middle and Mctominay’s shot getting blocked. Napoli’s biggest problem in this game was that defense on the left side. Olivera really had a horrible match. He was always trying to make those runs in behind but didn’t track back, creating a lot of space for Diao on Como’s right side, this gave Como the opportunity to get a lot of counterattacks. Como’s first goal was also Olivera’s fault, with him basically leaving Diao completely unmarked on the right side. Napoli’s attack looked quite good tho, especially Noa Lang, who was involved in most of the Napoli attacks. The second half then looked much better for Napoli after the substitutions, De bruyne worked really well in that ball-distributing role and Spinazzola was a massive upgrade compared to Olivera. When these two came onto the pitch, Napoli was dominating the game, and they had some chances, but just couldn’t find the net. Now to say something about Como, I love Nico Paz and Baturina, they work so well because Cesc Fabregas basically lets them do whatever they want in that attacking third, and they are both very technically gifted. Overall Como looks like a very exciting team, and I’m looking forward to see them play in the CL
