After a loss against Torino at home (1-2), the club decided to sack Fabio Grosso after just four official matches. La Viola quickly announced Paolo Vanoli to return as Mister, who was let go at the end of last season. With many new young signings over the summer and their first managerial change of the season already it might take a while for the team to get back on track. Venezia have been riddled with injuries and will be missing Bella-Kotchap, Franjić, Šverko, Bašić, and Adorante due to various different injuries. Fiorentina will likely not be able to count on Christ Ina Oulaï, who joined this summer for €25M from Trabzonspor. They will also miss Parisi who is injured until December with a ligament injury.
