Cant even say anything positive about the football itself thanks to the absolute disasterclass from the referee, Sander van der Eijk i sincerely hope you enjoyed your few minutes of fame and glory, and i sincerely hope you come nowhere close to a big game ever again. To not give a red to that vile fucking criminal Van Bommel is beyond me, ive watched this sport since i was 4 years old, i watch more football than 99% of people on this planet and this is one of the most disgusting fouls and blatant red cards ive ever seen. Absolutely no intention to even come close to the ball. Shouldn’t be allowed to referee again by having the audacity to call it unlucky. The rules specifically DO NOT CARE if its unlucky or not. Actual psychopath like his father. I have seen multiple interviews by now, seen what everyone in the studio thinks, and not a single soul has said its not a red card besides his PSV buddies who also claim it to be ‘unlucky’ (WHICH DOESNT MATTER TO THE RULES!!!!!). Game was fine until that point, surprisingly played well but that shit pissed me off, have some fucking balls as referee. Edit heres the psychopath in action:

Ajax
My first Dutch football watch in nearly a year. Some game to come back to. Ajax and PSV have always been intense rivals, this was no different. PSV got a scrappy goal in the first five minutes to take the lead, before in the second Ajax got one back from Tolu. He seems to be making a solid comeback from his poor performances at Wolves, though his wingers didn't give him a lot to work with tonight. PSV regained the lead with the last kick of the first half coming from a world-class Geertruida volley. PSV's attack tonight was generally stronger and it showed at the end when they got a stoppage time goal to seal the deal late on. That's the kind of team they are I suppose, one that will kick you while you're down. The refereeing I also imagine will be the talk of this game. van Bommel put in an absolutely horrific challenge in the 80th minute and walked away with just a yellow card. In fact, there were several instances on both sides of hard challenges going unpunished. Perhaps the ref was letting things slide due to the intensity of the rivalry, but I really don't think he did well enough. Despite showing some high quality, Ajax just aren't ready yet to punch up with the new higher guard of the Eredivisie. Meanwhile, PSV look strong enough to challenge some of Europe's elite. With the Champions League upcoming, I think their goal should be to get a spot in the knockout rounds of the tournament.
First Eredivisie match since Santiago Gimenez was at Feyenoord and De Topper not disappoint. Most entertaining match so far today with lots of drama. Especially towards the end with van Bommel’s foul, which should’ve received a red card but didn’t.

A moment of silence for @carbonfiverr... All jokes aside this match was great as a neutral. De Topper did not disappoint at all. PSV and Ajax looked strong offensively, but Ajax' defense is what let them down. The refs decision on #that foul was very questionable and it should've been a red card. Very very brutal foul lmao. Great goals by Geertruida and Bajraktarevic. The build-up on the first goal of PSV was honestly crazy, which was scored by Pepi! For the rest, this match was a good one!
michel suffer ball 💔 very entertaining as a neutral. really liked that moment of #unity when both teams were fighting in spite of the reason they were fighting to begin with. no notes
