One of the most entertaining fixtures in the Premier League takes place quite early this season, as United host City at the always atmospheric Old Trafford in gameweek 4. The struggles are coming as a surprise after their great form under Michael Carrick in the second half of last season. In their midweek Champions League match they had a much more comfortable time against Sabah (4-0). Of course their main man will be Bruno Fernandes, who will want to make another impact, having scored a rare hat trick this season already. The Cityzens had a rude awakening in the Community Shield after Arsenal dismantled Maresca’s side. But since then, they have massively improved; after three matchdays they sit in first place alongside Premier League holders Arsenal with 9 points. Though not with the most convincing scorelines, they have looked strong, mostly thanks to the unbelievable Rayan Cherki. The Frenchman has 4 G/A in his last 4 matches while bringing much-needed technical ability to the team. Erling Haaland has, obviously, also been important. Despite losing his majestic hair he has not lost his world-class ability to score goals and be a force of nature. Manchester City will go to Old Trafford with confidence, coming away with a win over Porto on Wednesday (0-2) where they were incredibly dominant offensively. The last five results show it has been very even, with both sides winning twice and drawing once. It will surely be a cracker of a game on Sunday 4:30 PM local time.
