France absolutely dominated the first half, so many chances so its surprising it was only 1-0 going into half time. Almost a puskas goal from Olise too. Thought the offside goal was on but only saw it like once so im not sure. Second half the domination kept going from the French with a great goal from Barcola. So many chances again though, especially the one on one from Olise. Suppose Olise fixes it by getting a assist and giving Mbappé another goal, fair. Mbappé the first Frenchman to score 5+ goals in multiple World Cup tournaments (2022 & 2026), also the 6th goal combination between him and Dembélé which breaks the record of 5 that Szarmach and Lato had in 1974 (and Klose and Ballack), also more goals than Klose now on the World Cup at only 27, also most knockout goals on the World Cup, and probably so many other records. Slowly becoming the World Cup goat in my opinion, incredible player. 18 World Cup goals and 1 behind Messi for now, so insane. Olise with his 5th assist this World Cup, could actually break the record for that in. Also 32nd assist this season club & country. Top 3 player in the world right now. Sweden wasnt that bad, i think they held up alright. Just a very poor team besides 3 players which are all attackers, no midfielders or defenders. Not much to expect from them against Les Bleus. France is just so damn good its a joke at this point, huge favorites. Not always a fan of Deschamps, id even say im quite often a hater of his style, but this tournament it feels much different than previous ones. Maybe because its his last one. Seen Paraguay do some black magic shit but i genuinely dont think they can stop this France, might be a massacre. Man of the match between Mbappé and Olise but ill give it to Olise this time.
