Football, what a beautiful fucking sport. Mor or less 2k characters this review, haha get it Emre Mor. This is huge for NEC, besides this being the first time in 17 years or something they play European football, having the Champions League hymns at De Goffert for the playoffs will be lovely. Not gonna be easy for them again Bodø/Glimt but anything is possible. Atmosphere was so fucking good. Tadić assists Linssen for the 1-1, a combined age of 72 years old, which also means its the oldest players to be involved in a goal in any European competition for a Dutch team this century (can probably broaden this record more but that is all that Opta gave lmao). Tadić also created 15 chances which is insane. I can go around and say the same things as last week with how good NEC are at pressing and high intensity football but that’s boring. Instead i’ll just say that Darko Nejasmic is one of the best players in the Eredivisie, that he is still at NEC is insane. Last season he was incredible already, but this game he was literally everywhere. At a certain point i was convinced there were two of him on the pitch. Crettaz is also a incredible goalkeeper, so important today, especially in this playstyle. Thought Noé Lebreton was quite bad surprisingly, mostly due to some mistakes and bad passes here and there. Caused quite some trouble for NEC at times. Unfortunate the last minute winner was slightly offside, would’ve been great for Sierhuis to score. Eventually Emre Mor scoring the winner, the man who was once a wonderkid, going to so many different clubs where it never truly worked out. Being subbed on early because of a Ouaissa injury, not being allowed on the pitch for 2 and 49 seconds because he still had his ear piercing in, being offside in the initial 2-1 winner, but eventually scoring the goal that wins them the game is great. For me Darko Nejasmic is the clear and obvious man of the match, it is criminal how he only has a 8.0 on fotmob.
