A game with two completely different halves. I was very impressed with Bournemouth in the first half, they were the much better team and Real Sociedad really struggled with Bournemouth’s great high press. Logically, Bournemouth wasn’t going to keep that high press going the whole game, which gave Real Sociedad the opportunity to play a much better second half. The roles basically switched, now it was Real Sociedad dominating the game and creating chances. La Real plays very good football but their biggest problem is that they miss too many of their chances, which showed today. I think there’s a lot of potential in this team, they just need to improve that part of their game. Great win for Marco Rose’s team tho, as they win their first ever international match, very happy for them and excited to see more of these two teams

Bournemouth absolutely destroyed Real Sociedad in that first half, relentless pressing and lovely transitional play. Impressive from Marco Rose and those in black and red. I think they took the foot off the gas and went down one too many gears, because that was a far from comfortable 2nd half. Alex Scott is some player, but Petrovic was the hero to keep the Cherries in the lead and secure their first ever European 3 points! Congratulations Bournemouth fans!

Only got to see half of the first half and what a performance from Bournemouth in that first half. Second half is where things switched and Real Sociedad were the ones dominating and even managed to get one back. Unfortunately for them, it was all they were going to get because of Petrovic. What a keeper and I often forget bro was on the New England Revolution a few years ago. 😭

Bournemouth were stunning in the first half, Alex Scott masterclass while Rayan and Kluivert both showed their class too. Second half was just so disappointing from the Cherries, decided to play it safe giving La Real the opportunity to come back, and they wouldve come back if it wasn’t for Petrović saving Bournemouth, he gets man of the match for that.
