What a weird match. For some reason Tottenham decided they wanted to play in the last 10 minutes and get a few constellation goals for their already half empty stadium. Villa played alright i guess but they probably could have gotten a few more if they weren’t shite.

This was the first and possibly last MLS game I’ve watched. I don’t know how a team can have so many chances, so many one-on-ones with the goalkeeper and not score at all. Redbull scored because one bloke couldn’t backpass the ball properly. Absolutely horrid game and I feel bad for any NYC fans.

Great watch and a great performance by Adelaide. They definitely deserve to top the table after this. Alagich had a ripper of a goal and Goodwin scoring shortly after coming on because he’s an absolute class act. Tai Po had a rough game which is obvious when losing 3-0, but it was particularly clear when they just let Muniz charge through. Away games in these intercontinental tournaments are tough and I don’t think you can judge either side fairly until you see what they are like both at home and away.

I think Victory played better, if only Nduka managed to head that ball into the open net. It was also very interesting seeing the majority of the Cong supporters in full military uniform.

That was a very close game with Persib only winning from an early goal from Cesar when Seoul wasn’t settled into the game. Real shame about him getting carried out on a stretcher later in the game, hope he is ok.

Great game for the J-league side against Newcastle’s best imitation of an U12 team. As much as I want an Australian team to win it all, it’s obvious that they don’t have a hope in hell if they perform like this against other top clubs. The quality gap between the A-league and other asian leagues like the is obviously too much of a gap for Newcastle to bridge.
