Davide Massa (born 15 July 1981) is an Italian football referee who officiates in Serie A. He has been a FIFA referee since 2014, and is ranked as a UEFA elite category referee. He is by far one of the worst referees I have ever seen officiate a match. He absolutely fell for Atletico’s and Simeone’s favorite dark arts bits, and he ignored a clear back pass from us. It is no wonder Italian football has fallen off so much when referees like these are the standard. I thought we weren’t good, yet we still deserved to win. Iraola experienced his first comeback win, and I have full faith in him as a manager. I was really impressed with how he set us up after we took the lead, it looked far better than anything under Slot. For the nostalgia merchants, KLOPP won most of our Anfield games like this. Sit back deep and counterattack while pressing like dogs. I thought VVD and Jacquet were excellent, and Kerkez was not as bad as the brain-rotted trolls claim. Our LWs always help our LBs defend, and I think Rio let us down in that regard. Szobo looks better, especially in how he connects with Wirtz. Muñoz looked like he had on the wrong boots when he came on. Gravenberch won us time by getting fouled, but he’ll need to be sold in the summer. Barcola looks like a player who hasn’t played since July, but his base looks promising. I was not surprised by that miss at all, he’s a player who takes 10 shots and misses 8. Frimpong doesn’t look half bad as a winger, but we’ll need Gomez back. Atleti have to be a social experiment by the way. How anyone can follow that team has to be a test of character. I hope we never see them again, and I can’t wait for United to face them. And to any United and Arsenal fans clowning Barcola, have fun with your unsigned Vinis and washed Rashfords.

Liverpool were much better than the last 2 games, they actually took control of the game by the scruff of the neck. And when they were threatened, they were absolutely terrific in defence, all the basics and more were executed very well. I thought they could've had a lot more if they were on peak form. Isak finally bagging some goals, I don't think it's fully his fault that he wasn't performing in the first place. A nasty, untimely injury ruining all his momentum when he originally came in. Gakpo will be wondering why Liverpool were even considering selling him in the first place. Last week I mentioned he could've been sold, which was true, but I also said he has been far from the level Liverpool expect. However, if he keeps on putting in performances like this, he surely cements his spot in the team. Ipswich tried but it wasn't enough. A theme that I believe will continue to haunt them all season. Enciso and Palacios looked tidy, but everyone else just isn't a Premier League standard player I believe. You can still stay up with low quality standards, if you have a good manager. But I don't think they have that in Gary O'Neil. I don't see him staying for the whole season, if so, it will be interesting to see who they turn to if they do eventually sack him. Perhaps Kieran McKenna? MOTM is Gakpo, although Isak scored a brace, he was involved in many good things for Liverpool tonight. Great assist for the first too!

Fun game, thought Forest were absolutely fantastic. Slow start with losing back to back to Leeds where they looked disjointed, but it was inevitable that Glasner would get this team ticking. Gibbs-White G+A proving once again why he should've travelled to America in the summer. Thought the Forest midfield was great with Schlager, McAtee and MGW. Ran Liverpool ragged at times. For Liverpool, they were far-far from good. Frustrating performance from key players like Szoboszlai and Frimpong. I didn't think they deserved a point in this game. Alisson with a wonder save to keep them in the game. Soft penalty given but you see them all the time so its no surprise. Iraola has a lot of work on his hands, Barcola coming in will be very interesting though. I believe that there will be another outgoing for Liverpool, perhaps Cody Gakpo. He has been far from Liverpools level for some time, even with an assist today. MOTM is Gibbs-White, solid performance with a goal and assist. Forest will be thinking they could've got a lot more today though. Good point at Anfield nonetheless.
