Wow,this was such an eventful match.Belgium took the lead with Lukebakio goal and then played low block the full 90's but then Olise with Cherki and Doué get subbed in and they change the whole game.I want to start with France's side,first half was so disappointing for them,Dembélé,Lepaul and Barcola missed chances after chances and were losing the ball constantly,I genuinely think Lepaul shouldn't be a starter for the team;he is not on that level,only been good for Rennes and Dembélé isn't the same once he gets to play a game every 3 days,Barcola just has poor finishing by default.In second half,Olise,Cherki and Doué got subbed in and that's where it all changed.Doué finds the net first from a pass from Da Cunha who was subbed in 10 minutes prior,then Cherki finds it aswell from a beatiful assist from Olise and then Olise turns up and scores a brace in a few minutes,genuinely unplayable player,subbed in at 60th minute and completely changed the game,Zidane should really be starting him everytime he gets the chance,same with Doué on the left wing since Barcola functions more as a sub with fresh legs.In rest,France's midfield and defense was pretty okay,maybe except Akliouche since he didn't really shine and Diouf,Lacroix got some shots in and Yoro actually surprised me,had so many defensive contributions. Into Belgium,only Lukebakio was an actual attacking threat since Lukaku is already too old to run and Moreira was just running around,he was dropping deep a lot once Belgium took the lead.Not much to say on Belgium's side,disappointing defense considering they played low block since they scored and none of them really shined for me,same could be said for the midfield but I honestly liked Romero Lavia,he had a good game as he did like 1 week ago when he played France again,both good performances but this one slightly worse since he had to play more low block. Overall good game for France bar the first half,my MOTM goes to Olise but shotout Doué and Cherki.
