i’m not quite sure where to begin. i’m not a barcelona fan, im not argentinian yet i still felt a lump in my throat watching this match. it’s almost a strange alien feeling to care so much about a player you never saw play for your team but that just speaks to how far big his legacy is. before i knew any other players, i knew about messi, i didn’t watch him at his peak but i heard the stories. again another way to illustrate the impact that he’s had on this sport. he’ll forever live on not just in the minds of people who watched him live, watched him for their club or country, but everyone who ever watched him play the sport that we all love. a standing ovation for the greatest player of all time. 🩵🤍

What a way to completely mess up a game by Mexico. The first half should’ve ended very differently, but Mexico’s failure to put the ball behind the net cost them dearly. The second half was what it was and we have to start questioning why a goalkeeper that played in the World Cup a couple of months ago looked like a complete amateur here. Objectively speaking I liked the style Rafa is implementing on the team, but you have to do more. A lot of work to be done because a 3-0 is not the way to go. Oh well it’s Saturday so vamonos al BAILE! A match that happened and was played, it was a snooze fest with very little shots on target, Toro Guzmán pulled through with another of his amazing headers similar to what he did on the rayados game with Chicago Fire, Mateo carried the defense this entire game and I feel like he has earned his spot in the main XI. I fully trust Rafa and believe he’s only experimenting to see what players work best for his style, WE WILL LOCK IN

Not the best game but it was decent for both sides. Mexico risked more in both halves and Colombia after getting 1 goal basically gave Mexico the ball to do as they pleased. Colombia then tried to win the game but the changes Néstor Lorenzo made weren't enough to force a 2nd goal. Props to Mora for a wonderful goal and Lucumi you never slide when marking a player who can dribble lmao. A draw is a draw, but Nestor Lorenzo needs to change Colombia's mindset after scoring the 1st goal and that's to keep attacking and not ease off the gas pedal because that's Colombia's biggest weakness.
