The kids are all right, I couldn't watch the game live because I had other commitments at the time, with that being said, Barca are back and looking very dangerous on the flanks. First off, I really liked what Gordon was doing in the 1st half and how good he is using his pace to get through balls into the box. Raphinha again every time he has the ball, he is the one beginning the attack and committing the other players to spam the box in case there is a chance to score, a facilitator and the most important player who is instrumental to our attack and it's 1 of the reasons he was solely missed in the final months of last season. Adeyemi displayed better movements and has impressed me the most, 1 goal and assist. Hamza 1 goal, Lamine 1 goal from a penalty kick and an assist to Bisiwu. Jesse Bisiwu getting 2 rapid fire goals in the 90th minute of the game is chef's kiss. Pesquer again had a brilliant display and looked comfortable on the left flank. Fermin looks rusty still and Bernal had a decent outing and hopefully he learns a lot from Rodri. Bisiwu is MOTM for me, mainly due in part because Basel were mounting a comeback when the game was still 2-3 and then lamine gets a cheeky steal which helps Bisiwu get his goals. Exciting times to be a Barcelona fan.

Review from the stadium, wow. So proud of this team. The fight they gave was unreal, against Europe's best team too, is even more impressive. AND to add we were missing 5 first team players, whereas they had their FULL team on the pitch. Despite the result, I feel nothing but positivity from this team. The George Hemmings and Ian Maatsen partnership was absolutely unreal. Brian Madjo an absolute tank. Kamara and Gomes were absolutely brilliant. Bizot even, fantastic. The positive adjectives for each and every player are limitless. I'm so proud of this team. May this be the beginning of a great era under the great Unai Emery. We love him to bits, we wouldn't change him for anyone. I hope we've proved a lot of doubters wrong, once again. The ceiling of this team is only held back by the PL's dodgy rules. Quick word on the referees, awful. But enough about them. This is about Aston Villa 💜💙 Congratulations to PSG, it was a great game. May we meet again 🙂↕️ UP THE FUCKING VILLA!!!

and so, just like that, it ends. 104 games. staying up until the sun rises to watch our beautiful sport, because we all know these moments would never come back. last minute goals, heartbreak, triumph, relief, pain, and so many other emotions we all went through this past month; watching it with all of you made it all the more special. i don’t think my vocal chords will recover any time soon, but i wouldn’t trade it for anything. and what a world cup this has been. this is not just a game. it’s a language, a bond, a medium we all share. it doesn’t matter where you’re from, we all become united through this game called football. as beautiful as it was, the world cup is always a time to reflect on those who are no longer with us. we all carry the memories of the people who should have been sitting beside us, enjoying this tournament; this belongs to them just as much as it does to us. thank you for sharing your passion with me. now, we can all finally rest.

We didn’t come into this World Cup with high expectations even though we were one of the hosts. We were grouped in 22 and everyone thought it was the end of football in Mexico with a corrupt and greedy federation keeping players from going abroad to play to our players being unmotivated. But this group of players vastly exceeded our exceptions going undefeated and conceding no goals in the group stage and giving us el quinto partido for the first time in 40 years. We are beyond proud of this team, England trying the underdog gimmick with a billion dollar squad is still funny to me but I do think Mexico played better England just took their chances. Gilberto Mora is the future of this team the Prem can stay far away from him we don’t want to ruin nuestro niño. Rafa Marquez is officially the new coach and I know he’ll do great with this team. We thought it was the end but this is only the beginning for this team we will be world champions I can assure you that. VIVA MEXICO!!!🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽

Here we go again. Fuck Hakimi. First game of the round of 16, not as much football played in the first half though. Theres been fewer shots (5) than cards given (6), and also 15 fouls committed in just 45 minutes. Last time there was a game with 15+ fouls in 45 minutes was in 2010 between Chile - Spain. Canada had enough chances though just didnt score any of them, with Saibari out injured Morocco have looked even more dreadful. Second half completely different, Canada lost grip of the game and all Morocco needed was a single chance to score. God knows why Canada didnt bring in Promise David sooner though. Then Morocco scoring again in the 80th minute on a counter to end the game. That 0-3 especially awful, scoreline doesnt do it justice how much effort most of the Canadian players put into this game. More xG for Canada, more touches in the box, more chances, and more shots… this being 0-3 is insane. Really unfortunate for Canada, besides that i love the country they really have a likable team too. I do wonder what this couldve looked like if Kone didnt get that awful injury against Qatar, and if Davies was fully fit. Hope this performance made football even bigger in Canada, id love to see them get better and better 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦 Man of the match Ounahi, brace and generally a good game.
