Fenerbahçe1 - 1Roma
glad to see roma get back into the champions league but their run of form in the serie A did not continue. maylen missed some crucial chances and dybala seemed to rush his game and call for fouls instead. it is hard to say whether or not roma will be able to get out of the group stage with the likes of real madrid and psg, but who is to say? here’s to hoping they can pick up points from the likes of bratislava and lille
Barcelona5 - 1Feyenoord
incredibly rewarding match to start the UCL campaign. i am still worried about the high line especially once we start to take on bigger opponents, but nevertheless it is comforting to see yamal continue to perform well, for gabriel to get his debut goal, and for gavi to return to the pitch.
Valencia0 - 5Barcelonadid not watch this one entirely as i’m on vacation but i enjoyed this one a lot, it’s good to see yamal to get into his groove and even more so to see fermin keep his head up and still strike the ball with the same vindication he had before the injury.
Barcelona2 - 0Athletic Club
pretty boring truth be told. 3 points is 3 points but this was a worrisome performance from the likes of yamal especially considering bilbao’s only good performance was from unai simon. our defense did well individually but the high line seemed like a fluke to me
Athletic Club
Elche0 - 5Barcelonawhile sometimes it can be really fun to watch your team get a high score, this wasn’t the most engaging match to watch unless you purely care about stats or ratings. i think elche played well, i’m glad adeyemi and gordon both got involved on their debut, but i wish there was a bit more of a challenge! hence why i only give it 4 stars
Barcelona
Celtic3 - 0Lask Linz
wish there was more fight from LASK but it’s very nice to see celtic return to the UCL
