NAC Breda2 - 1Ajax

We got promoted after five seasons of the second league, and our first home game? Ajax. After a tough 4-1 loss away from home everyone expected the least. The starting XI wasn't convincing, with a RB at RW and a youth accedemy player who played less than 10 minutes in the line-up, expectations were lower than ever, we just came to watch a game with friends and family. The first half had prodominently Ajax's chances, but our new centreback who joined from Schalke put in an amazing preformance against Brian Brobbey, pocketing him. In the 50th minute, while I didn't notice, our centreback scored an offside goal, but in the 58th minute, from amazing ball recovery and an even better cross pass from our, also newly signed, CM, headed trough, scores NAC Breda the 1-0 against Ajax. A true David and the goliath moment, 5 minutes later Hato scored to make Ajax level, but they didn't win the flow of the game. The last minutes were carnage. 89' - Our main free-kick taker is taken off for a failed youth prospect. 90' - We get a free-kick just on the left side of Ajax's box. 90+0' - 8 minutes of added time, everyone's mad since Ajax now has more winning chances. 90+1' - Another debutant takes the free-kick, towards the second post and the fan favorite, club captain centreback rises up and... 90+1' - NAC Breda 2-1 Ajax. 90+9' - Full time. NAC Breda wins against Ajax in their first Eredivise home game since may 15th, 2019. Absolute scenes.

Excelsior4 - 1NAC Breda

The greatest loss in the history of our club. After having a 6-2 lead in the first leg, we had our head up extroirdinarily high going into the away game. The crowd was electric at our own home stadium, where they hung up huge signs for everyone to watch just outside of the stadium. Then Excelsior scored. Four times. And I was pissed. But then, by some godforsaken miracle, a player who has scored once before in his entire carreer, a midfielder who hasn't had a goal for NAC Bredai in the 2 years he played for us, shot and scored. It wasn't a pretty goal, but it was the most I've ever cheered for one. If we could hold the lead, the one goal lead, the goal that made it 7-6 for us, if we'd hold it, we'd be promoted. The rest is history.

The greatest match I've seen. In my life. In the first leg of the final for play-off promotion, as the worst team and only qualifying for the play-offs via goal differential, playing against the Eredivisie side. And 6 goals, the limbs weren't even there because everyone was screaming their lungs out at the 3-1 and we were already a man up, and then suddenly Excelsior got a second red, NAC scored thrice including a stoppage time strike from distance to put us up four, with my favorite player scoring it. I cried.

Drawing 3-3 with Feyenoord at home while fighting relegation? That's not a simple feat. Yet we did it.

GO Ahead Eagles6 - 0NAC Breda

Oh my days. This is one of the worst games I've seen in my years of watching NAC. I genuienly can't pick a NAC player for MOTM on this one, everyone was so bad.

NAC Breda0 - 2Ajax

Us not being able to finish chances was dissapointing, we actually could've had a chance against the mighty Ajax!

Ajax
NAC Breda2 - 0Heerenveen

One of the most bittersweet games I've seen in the stadium, regardless if we won we'd have to rely on other teams not to get relegated. The fact some "fans" threw fireworks onto the pitch when it was clear we got relageted ruined it for me, but the entire stadium booing them was nice.

A very unimpressing win away from home against one of the worst teams in the country. Watching this on my phone while I was on holiday in France.

You can see what relegation does to a team, but my oh my are we bad.

VVV Venlo
NAC Breda3 - 2Jong Ajax

A decent preformance from our team, could've done better against Ajax-u21's, but oh well.
