After 4 draws and 2 losses in our last 6 MLS matches, WE FINALLY WON 😭. We were the dominant side across entire match even though we were only winning by a goal. Defensively we were the better side although RBNY did also have a solid performance defensively. One big issue is that we still struggle to score more than one goal and today was no different. We had MULTIPLE opportunities in that first half where she should’ve scored at least 2 more but didn’t. There were times were Son had gotten himself in good positions but in one he had a terrible touch causing him to lose the ball in a counter attack and the other he held on to the ball a little too long which enabled NY’s defense to get back in position. Love Shaffelburg but he can’t be our starting RW. Even when RBNY went down to nine men, we were STILL struggling to score up until Sieb’s beautiful stoppage time goal. Loved what I saw from Jude Terry, Choinière, and Cheberko who we had in midfield today. One big positive is that after being out for a year due to an ACL injury, Igor Jesus is back!! Can’t wait to see what Leo Walta and Thayllon Roberth add to this team.

It was nice to see Son and Bouanga get goals and assists but it just wasn’t enough. We had many chances that we should’ve scored but we couldn’t. Midfield continues to be a big issue as nobody can create anything and instead decide to just punt the ball into Bouanga and hope for him to create something. Lloris with another incredible performance and ultimately saving us from conceding more goals than we already did. Also does MDS need glasses or something because why the fuck did it take him until the 82nd minute to make a sub when a good portion of the team looked TIRED out there. A lot of our players just couldn’t run anymore and MDS decides to just keep them on instead of putting on fresh legs. Disappointing. MDS OUT
