Great equalizer too in the first half, ball comically staying in by bouncing off the corner flag, Austrian defender fouling the Algerian, ball that ends up at Rafik Belghali who first tries to cross it but gets blocked and then decides to just dribble around the defense himself and smashes it into the back of the net. Early into the first half there was a great cross from Laimer and good goal from Sabitzer. Algeria really fought for it though getting a equalizer very quickly after from who else than Mahrez. Last between minute 65 and 90 or so it looked a lot like the game it was set out to be with just playing calmly for the draw. But then Mahrez scoring again in the almost last minute of the game to knock Austria out of the world cup is insane, only for Austria to score AGAIN in the 96th minute to STILL stay in the tournament is absolutely fucking insane 😭😭😭 Austria against Spain will be quite something, looking forward to that one. Algeria have a very doable game against Switzerland who have not been convincing at all. Absolutely heartbreaking for Iran though to still be knocked out, first their own disallowed goal, then the late Algeria winner to qualify them in again only to be denier yet again by the Austria goal.
