Chelsea
BrightonWhat a game! Really really entertaining. Usually you would expect Brighton to come into this game with a lot of confidence and motivation after that 4-0 win against Aston Villa, but none of that was to be seen at the beginning of the match. Instead, they left some huge spaces for Chelsea at times and conceded the first goal with just 4 minutes played after a horrible mistake from Verbruggen. And Chelsea didn’t wait much to score the second goal, with Rogers assisting Pedro Neto’s goal. In these first 25 minutes, which Chelsea dominated with incredible efficiency in their chances, it looked like it would be a disaster game for Brighton. In the 32nd minute of the game Pedro made it 3-0 after missing a big chance a few minutes earlier, but Yalcouye managed to get Brighton back into the game with a wonderful volley and a horrendous hairline. Second half looked much better for Brighton, and especially Diego Gomez had some very good chances. Palmer had a very big chance to make it 4-1, but decided to give us an interesting match, with Groß pass into the middle leading to a joao pedro own goal in the 63rd minute. Brighton didn’t have many chances afterwards tho, palmer scored the fourth goal instead, and what a way to do it. Groß goal was obviously too late and at the end of the day it was a well deserved win for Chelsea, I’m very excited for their game against Arsenal next week!
