sorry another goalkeeper analysis, using this as my own notes app. starting with george, subbed off through injury but in the half hour he played his distribution was absolutely miles off it, most balls played long but it’s expected since that’s how bromley play, but the execution was awful. in terms of wimbledon’s first goal, he needs to do much much better, header in his direction with a fair bit of power however would expect him to palm it away from goal, palmed it into his own net, poor overall imo. 22yo mason off the bench was an interesting watch, made a couple saves but wasn’t tested too much however showed positive signs with good reflexes and positioning, still with a slight feeling of inexperience in his performance. didn’t get much of a chance to command his area but seemed quite quick off his line, and comfortably claimed the cross he came for. his distribution was very disappointing similar to george, however i wouldn’t say the decisions he was making were poor i think the execution was bad. with his age i feel this is something he can work on and should with it proving his biggest weakness tonight, but not something to worry about especially in his circumstances. one or two times he came under pressure from opposition attackers and looked rushed off his feet but also something i would expect with his inexperience. bursik had a good game in his debut. same again, small sample size and not tested too much, just a couple saves you’d expect him to make but he made them look comfy enough. one of the saves he made took a couple deflections and bobbled very awkwardly but he did good to parry it out of danger. his distribution was fairly average, but i was impressed with his calmness on the ball and he didn’t seem to panic under pressure. few long balls he overhit or played inaccurately but nothing out of the ordinary at this level. confident recovering loose balls, but wasn’t tasked with coming out to claim the ball, deserved clean sheet and good performance.
