late to review but all in all i am so happy and it was the most respectful loss i’ve seen in a long long time. can’t complain about the overall performance and for 80-85% of the game the energy and desire was clear to see and it was brilliant to watch. parts of the game where that desire wasn’t as clear and energy levels dropped but it’s still pre season so it’s expected. in my opinion we were the better side throughout the whole game and i believe we deserved to win, we created more chances, we played with a higher intensity and we played with more heart but unfortunately we just got the short end of the stick. to go and put a performance like that in against the best team in the world at near enough full strength with multiple key players missing from the squad and a starting 11 of players everyone was doubting pre match was fantastic to see and i couldn’t be more proud. it’s made me extremely excited for the season ahead and i hope it’s put to bed some of the worries fans had before the game. madjo is a star in the making and i can’t wait to see him develop he could of scored about 4, hemmings looks so much more confident on the ball and really reminds me of ramsey would love to keep him around. mcginn had a real captains performance and i can’t put into words how good he looked going forwards today. lastly maatsen looked unreal, after a rough start to his villa career he looks like he’s gonna make the starting left back spot his and what a first game to prove it. going forward, defensively, workrate all of it was so impressive and i am in love with his performance. all of them deserve a shoutout but these guys stood out, also thought buendia put himself on the line for us he was absolutely shattered at the end. bring on brighton away and UTFV!

nothing too over the top but a thoroughly enjoyable watch and even better with it being derby day. plymouth deserved it and they played very well, worse side just crumbled at the end and we got to see some beautiful limbs. hm to hartridge for potm but boateng ran the midfield for me.

good first half very entertaining but second half was a snoozer, unsuccessful hate watch but wolves looked good. also got to watch mo faal play football so that’s a positive, meh game.
