felt the first half started off very even, with chicago even the team ahead for those first 5/10 minutes. we look so comfortable on the ball and it’s one of our best attributes as a team. quite a lucky goal for our first but we take it every day, ashley sanchez is just superb, american single season goalscoring record - shes more than earned a call up to the USWNT. scored a second quickly after and looked to be keeping it up and it, quite frankly, looked like it could get ugly for chicago. it was a good assist and a very good team goal, so happy for okafor she deserves that massively and you could see how much it meant to her! amazing assist too from ijeh whos turning out to be one of our best players, but also one of the best in the league. it’s hard to comprehend this being her first season. we seemed to actually want to score more after those first two, which is something i sometimes find we don’t do and we just seem to sit back and defend and it can get boring. we started the second half well and immediately looked to be getting forward, it was almost as if we just picked up straight from the end of the first half. Vilde Bøe Risa has also slotted perfectly into this team and looks to be a key player in our build up play, along with Erica Meg. chicago did seem to be getting more into it, very similar to the start of the first half. that third goal was just insane, the build up play was unreal, the pass from sanchez to ryan williams into the box. perfection. it’s just so easy to watch and i’m SO happy shinomi got her first of the season! i love her celebration too. chicago had a good chance straight after that but wasn’t too much of a threat with kailen sheridan and straight after ash sanchez has another good shot with more sloppy defending from chicago and ryan williams got her goal! erica meg won us a good penalty, VERY unnecessary from the chicago defence. ANOTHER ash sanchez goal, albeit a penalty, im running out of words to describe how amazing (comments)

she’s been this season. ASH SANCHEZ HATTRICK. i don’t even have the words to describe just how insane ash has been this season it is CRAZY. i was sat saying we would struggle after manaka went chelsea bro 😭 i’ve said it before and ill say it again. erica. meg. you don’t replace manaka, but when you need someone as close as possible to manaka, 19 year old erica meg wouldn’t have been many people’s first choice. but she has gone above and beyond to prove that she deserved everything she

@scartinelli received. today was arguably a quiet game for her and she still got an assist and was a key part of our play. sean nahas was a fairly good manager, but we look miles better with mak lind it’s worlds apart. you can just tell his instilled a belief into the squad that nahas didn’t, and it’s clear with ash sanchez doing as superb as she had and ijeh and the erica meg signing. just special special manager for us.

@scartinelli POTM just has to be ash sanchez there’s no question about it but i think if you took her goals away today, every single courage player on that pitch was incredible, exactly what we need. barely put a foot wrong all match, and when we did we won the ball back, or sheridan made the saves we needed her too.

@scartinelli the closest chicago seemed to get was a ouahabi corner that nearly bounced off the far post into the goal, sloppy defending. just a great game and a great win and another clean sheet for sherida
